Human trafficking is when people are recruited, transported, transferred, and harbored against their will by force or threat. There are a lot of reasons people in India are involved in human trafficking. For some people, human trafficking happens because of dangers in the area. For example, there are gangs in the cities of India that might be threatening to some people. The problem is a lot of people are being trafficked because of threats. Many people are trafficked in India for forced labor. Men, women, and even children are trafficked for the purpose of labor. Another reason for trafficking is for commercial sexual exploitation. They are forced to work to pay debt back to who they owe money to.  Many places that these people work are brick kilns, rice mills, agriculture, and embroidery factories. Children are forced to work in jobs as factory workers, domestic servants, beggars, and agriculture workers.

Child exploitation is when children are taken advantage of like when they are forced into human trafficking.  Child labor is also a form of child exploitation. Many children are abused and some are forced into child prostitution. This is a big problem in India because it is happening so much. The government can not prevent child exploitation. Some are forced into places that can be dangerous. Some jobs are not fit for children to do that they are forced to do. They can be trafficked into child slavery. Many of the working conditions are not suitable for the children that work in them.
