Human trafficking is when people are recruited, transported, transferred, and harbored against their will by force or threat. There are a lot of reasons people in India are involved in human trafficking. For some people, human trafficking happens because of dangers in the area. For example, there are gangs in the cities of India that might be threatening to some people. The problem is a lot of people are being trafficked because of threats. Many people are trafficked in India for forced labor. Men, women, and even children are trafficked for the purpose of labor. Another reason for trafficking is for commercial sexual exploitation. They are forced to work to pay debt back to who they owe money to. Many places that these people work are brick kilns, rice mills, agriculture, and embroidery factories. Children are forced to work in jobs as factory workers, domestic servants, beggars, and agriculture workers.
Child exploitation is when children are taken advantage of like when they are forced into human trafficking. Child labor is also a form of child exploitation. Many children are abused and some are forced into child prostitution. This is a big problem in India because it is happening so much. The government can not prevent child exploitation. Some are forced into places that can be dangerous. Some jobs are not fit for children to do that they are forced to do. They can be trafficked into child slavery. Many of the working conditions are not suitable for the children that work in them.
Classwork
India has an extremely large amount of people living in the country. In India, there are about 1,173,108,018 people living in the country. India has the second largest population in the world behind China which has about 1,330,141,295 living in the country. It is expected that in the future, India will have the highest population in the world. India has a growth rate of 1.376% while China only has a growth rate of 0.494%. India will pass China in population in a few years because of the huge difference in population growth rate. Because India has so many people living in the country, it is hard to educate everyone in the country. The literacy rate of India is only 61% of the total population can read. One of the huge problems of the population of India being so large is that the country has a high poverty rate. Twenty five percent of the population of India live under the poverty line. This means that one of four people who live in India live under the poverty line. There are many problems that come with the poverty rate being so high. First it is hard for many people to get food and clean water to drink. One of the reasons this is so difficult is that many of the rivers don’t have clean water. One of the major rivers, the Yamuna River, has a lot of pollution due to many of the large companies in India dumping industrial waste into the river. The Yamuna River is one of the largest rivers in India and it is located in the city of New Delhi. Another reason for the lack of clean water is that India does not have very good sewage systems so a lot of the sewage ends up in the Yamuna River. The city of New Delhi has 17 million people living there so this is a big problem for the government of India.
Another large city in India is Mumbai. The population of Mumbai is 13 million. In the city of Mumbai there are many slums. Life can be very hard for the people living in the slums of Mumbai. A sum is an area where a lot of people who are poor live because it is not very expensive to live there. In India’s slums there are a lot of people who get money to buy food and water by begging for money. They will do almost anything to get money. Some of the things they will try is making people feel bad for them, showing off talents on the street for money, scamming, and even stealing from people. The slums of India aren’t a very good place to live.

Human Geography over the weekend paper part 2
From what I have found out about my family, they have been here a long time. My mom’s mother’s side of the family came in about the 1700’s. My mom’s grandfather’s side of the family came about the late 1800’s. My mom was born in Baltimore in the late 1960’s. My dad was born in the late 1960’s in Baltimore. My dad’s mom was born in the country of Chile. My dad’s dad was born in Baltimore. My mom’s mom was born in Baltimore. My mom’s dad was born in Baltimore. My mom’s grandparents on her dad’s side of the family were born in Baltimore. My mom’s grandparents on her mom’s side of the family were born in Baltimore. From what I have found most of my family was from Baltimore the furthest back I can go on my dad’s side is my great grandmother. She was my grandfather’s mother. She was born on February 2, 1908 and she died September 16, 2010. The furthest I can go back on my mom’s mother’s side is one of my relatives who were born in Germany. He was born in 1743 in Germany and his children were the first to be born in the United States in my family. The furthest I can go back on my mom’s dad’s side of the family is one of my relatives who were born in Massachusetts. He was born in Provincetown, Massachusetts in 1848. My dad’s mom’s parents were originally from Britain. Her father moved around a lot because of his job so, that is how she was born in Chile. She was born in Santiago, Chile. She was from a British family and she tried coming into this country as a British person but the United States had already let in the limit of people from Britain, so she ended up coming into this country as a Chilean. I don’t have much information on my dad’s side because his family hasn’t kept as good of records as my mom’s side of the family.
Human Geography over the weekend paper part 1
When I am older and have graduated college I will have to choose where I want to live. If I had two choices my first choice would probably end up being Spain. A reason for wanting to live in Spain is because Spain has a good economy. Spain’s economy is the 12th largest in the world. Right now Spain’s economy is on the recovery from the global recession so; by the time I move there the economy will be rising. If the economy is starting to recover the house market is probably still down so, after I buy the house the house market will recover. If I decide to move, the house that I bought will be worth more than I bought it for because then the house market will have recovered so, I might make a profit on the house. If I did move to Spain my job would be a construction worker because that is a job that pays well and one that is high in demand in Spain. A reason I might not want to move there is that it is so far away from my family. Also, I might not want to move there if the economy doesn’t recover.
My second choice would be Germany. I would want to live there because it is in the middle of Europe which makes it a great place to live. It has a great countryside and you can easily travel anywhere in Europe from Germany. Germany has the fifth largest economy in the world and Germany has the largest economy in Europe. Germany specializes in vehicles and household equipment. If I lived in Germany I would probably get a job in the car industry because it is doing so well right now. A reason why I wouldn’t want to live in Germany is that it gets very cold in the winter.

September 11 Terrorist attacks assignment
The morning of September 11, 2001 started like any other morning people were beginning their normal routines. A lot of people were watching the news that morning when after a commercial break the news stations had heard about what was a so called explosion at the World Trade Center in New York City. That turned almost everyone’s attention to New York City and the World Trade Center. At first people had no idea of what to think of this event. Some thought that the explosion might have been a missile, but it was actually a plane intended to take down the World Trade Center. There was a lot of chaos in New York City that morning. As news crews were covering this incident there was a second plane that crashed into the other World Trade Center tower at about 9:03 A.M. Countless witnesses gazed in horror as explosions were seen coming from the Second tower. People quickly realized that New York was under attack. People still had no idea who was responsible for these horrible attacks. Some people were suspecting that these attacks could be terrorist attacks. They were right but, people weren’t sure at the time. Later everyone would know who was responsible for these attacks. This day wasn’t over yet. No one knew but there were still more planned attacks for the day. One took place at the Pentagon, which is one of the military buildings for the United States. One side of it was severely damaged. There was one more plane that was hijacked it crashed in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The destination of that plane was unknown because the passengers of the plane had heard about what happened in New York City. So they decided to try to retake control of the plane. The passengers of the plane didn’t know how to fly it so it crashed in a field The United States had no idea who was responsible for all of these attacks. Since that morning, airlines have been extremely careful of what they allow on planes because of the threat of hijackers.
Q and A with my mom.
Q: On the morning of September 11, 2001 what were you doing that morning?
A: I was at St. Margaret School working as a teacher’s aid for second grade and heard about it so I went on the internet and watched news clips. We didn’t tell the kids but a lot of parents were calling I got my husband Scott to pick up my son Andrew and i picked up my daughter Emily.
Q: Did you see the newscast of the twin towers? If so what was the first thing you saw?
A: Yes i saw the newscast I listened watched wasn’t really scared because I knew God would take care of whatever was going on.
Q: What was going through your mind when you saw this on the news?
A: I was worried about people I knew that might be near New York or the Pentagon. I thought that my husband came home the day before this happened he was visiting his friend in New Hampshire and his friend wanted him to stay another day but he decided to come home so if he had stayed any longer he would have been stuck in New Hampshire.
Q: Where were you when you first heard about this?
A: I was in the hallway talking to other teacher’s aids at St. Margaret School
Q: Explain what happened the rest of that day?
A: I got my kids out of school and we stayed home the rest of the day.
There were some long term effects of the September 11, 2001 attacks. On the day of the attacks the stock market did not open that day. The stock market did not reopen until September 17, 2001 and when it opened the stocks had dramatically dropped. The value of stocks dropped so much that a record was set for the largest drop of stocks in one day in U.S history. The Dow Jones industrial average closed at the lowest since December 1998. Airlines were shut down for many days. This made the airline companies loose extreme amounts of profits. Even after airlines were allowed to resume flights many people were afraid to fly because of the attacks on September 11th. Many airline companies went out of business and other were in danger of going out of business. There were some health effects because of the collapsing of the Twin Towers. Many emergency workers didn’t have masks or protection from the contaminates in the air. These contaminates were responsible for lung and heart damage for many emergency workers. A lot of the nearby buildings were damaged. Airplane travel eventually came back to where it was before the attacks but it took a long time to do.

Human Geo Did you know?
It only took two years for facebook to have 50 million users and it took radio 38 years to reach 50 million users. This means that technology spreads much faster than before. New ideas can be spread much faster than before. I think it is good and bad. It's good because people can spread ides faster. It is bad because bad ides can spead faster too.
