Population will reach 7 billion by 2011

Life expectancy- Average number of years to be lived by a group of people born in the same year.

United States- 78 years

Swaziland- 32 years

Rate of natural increase is births minus deaths

Net Migration Rate- The imagrants minus emigration

More people migrating now than ever before

Push forces- enviornmental degradation, economic trouble

Pull factors- better economy, better health care


Total Fertility rate- average number of children born per woman in her lifetime

For a population to remain the same TFR must be 2.1
